A Modern Beech, Spiral Staircase This stair turns through 270 degrees. The handrails are of a laminated Beech construction matching the simple lines of the strings. The ‘open rise’ accentuates the light, open feel to the room and the three sided balcony above. Deep strings provide the the required structural strength and two supports, from the trusses above, prevent bounce. Each spindle is a plain barrel housed into the string and handrail, all in the same material.
