The Durham

Maintaining the character of the original building was a prime requirement in this refurbishment. The stair was created from a dark, french polished mahogany which provided the large sections for all components.

The newels are 140 mm, with 70 mm spindles, and a 95 mm wide handrail to house the spindles.

A series of wide and shallow flights with large landings every few steps, maximises the available space for hotel guests.

All patterns were successfully designed to a demanding and exacting brief.
